Alaska Trophy Adventures Lodge: Chef & Sous Chef Positions Available


Alaska Trophy Adventures Lodge is looking to hire qualified and motivated individuals as Camp and Kitchen Staff (Chef, Sous Chef, Hospitality, House Keeping, Maintenance, etc) for their 2018 season.

The lodge consists of 160 acres of private property on the Wild and scenic Alagnak river in Bristol Bay, Southwest Alaska. The river is well known for its record runs of all 5 species of pacific salmon but also is home to resident fish such as rainbow trout, lake trout, arctic grayling, arctic char and dolly varden.

Chef/Sous Chef:

We are seeking a talented chef or cook who would work closely with the lodge management to provide excellent food to our guests. This person would work with the owners to develop the season’s menu. Our aim is to serve healthy food within a defined budget.

The chef must be capable of developing menus and menu costing, inventory control, supervising other kitchen staff, have good cooking skills and strong communication skills. The chef may be asked to aid as needed, the Camp Manager with any duties related to the Lodge, whether kitchen related or not. This means there are times of years when this position may be doing housekeeping, grounds keeping, etc.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served daily, and a more detailed description of this service will be provided later to qualified candidates in the hiring process.

Food Safety Certification is required.  The applicant must maintain strong sanitation habits, strong customer service abilities who actively looks for ways to assist customers and coworkers.   Ability to interact and communicate well with the clients and other staff.  Ability to problem solving is also required. 

We are seeking someone looking for a long term seasonal position. Applicants should be strong team players, guest and service-oriented, positive, energetic, ambitious, motivated, hard- working, and have excellent supervisory and communications skills. We have no tolerance for cooks or chefs that bring a temper, or big ego.
