Saltwater Program General Manager:

Eleven is seeking a full time, year-round general manager for the company’s Saltwater Angling operations based in Boca Grande, Florida with seasonal operations in Charlotte Harbor, Everglades, Florida Keys and The Bahamas. Five or more years of experience managing overnight and day charter operations, including captains, crew and land support, is required. The Saltwater Angling General Manager will be responsible for all aspects of local operations and will work remotely with Eleven’s management team based in Colorado. The Saltwater Angling General Manager will be involved in developing, implementing and monitoring business and operational systems in support of Eleven’s multi-vessel charter operation.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks Guide Operations:

Responsible for overall business planning and performance for Eleven Angling saltwater program. Supervise the live aboard and day charter operations including staff hiring (in conjunction with Human Resources), training, supervision and scheduling. Pre-Season operations set up and post-season break down as required at each location. Work closely with the Grassy Creek property development team to ensure proper management of all fleet assets including vessels and vehicles required to support the operation. Manage the purchase, inventory and maintenance of all saltwater fishing operational equipment. Domestic and International travel to scout, and train, at other Eleven Experience properties or new operational locations as necessary. Lead and support all captains and staff in the day to day activities on the vessels, including food and beverage, hospitality, lodging, guiding, transportation and maintenance. Assist with the creation of guest and guide resources at fishing locations including extensive research and documentation.

Administrative:

Work closely with Eleven’s Director of Finance and other Eleven Central personnel on developing annual and project-specific budgets as well as monthly profit and loss statements. Assist the Eleven sales department with customer communication and invoicing where needed. Manage the booking calendar for all charters and expeditions offered by Eleven’s saltwater angling operations. Maintain immaculate and timely financial records with the company’s cloud-based financial reporting tools as needed (currently Opera, ExpensePoint and Salesforce). Assist the Grassy Creek property development team with attending to local issues related to any further expansion of operations and ongoing maintenance of existing assets including land and water based properties. Assist with the conservation efforts of the Grassy Creek Foundation focused on fishing habitat in southwest Florida, Bahamas and in other locations as appropriate.

Sales and Marketing:

Working closely with Eleven’s Director of Sales and Marketing to develop and execute go-to-market strategies to increase occupancy across all saltwater angling products. Build and maintain industry partnerships that strategically align with the Eleven brand. Communicate with current and potential clients to sell trips and assist with guest logistics where needed. Seek out and advise on new products and markets. Coordinate with Eleven Experience managers to build and deliver guest itineraries.

Certifications Basic First Aid and CPR.

Requirements Minimum 5 years of management experience with increasing responsibilities over time. Strong administrative capabilities, ability to efficiently function in software and cloud based platforms. Experience managing fleet assets and personnel in a dynamic, multi-unit saltwater charter operation. Strong professional and collaborative communication skills and networking capabilities. Strong customer service skills. Ability to incorporate technology into administrative duties and field operations. Physical Characteristics Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. Must have physical ability to drive company vehicles Must have physical ability to function in all seasons Must be able to work 8+ hour days during busy seasons when required.
