3 years Minimum Experience.
Friendly, customer service oriented attitudes.
Fly Fishing skills, including fly tying, fly & spey casting instruction, etc.
USCG OUPV License or greater & valid First Aid/CPR certificate.
Jet boat, Rowing/Rafting experience
Must be a strong team player, show initiative, be self-motivated & work well with others.
Ability to live & work in close quarters with both staff & clients.
Must be physically fit, able to lift heavy objects, go on extended hikes in remote locations carrying client lunches/drinks, fishing gear, etc.
Knowledge of Bristol Bay – Katmai & Becharof river systems preferred.
Ability to lead guests in remote wilderness settings with few or no defined trails, utilizing safety standards and route finding skills
Guides are responsible for general lodge & vessel upkeep, start-up & shut-down of the lodge & other various tasks throughout the season.
Days are long & weather does not always cooperate. Guides must be able to adapt to changing weather conditions & maintain a enjoyable & safe environment for guests.
Socializing with guests at lodge after fishing is expected.
