This is an entry-level position for someone looking to get his or her foot in the door and experience our operation and the retail/hospitality industry. This position will give you the opportunity to see virtually every aspect of daily operations at the West Branch Angler Resort and offer you ample time to play in the river. Although the position is an entry level, it offers a huge potential for growth within the organization. Shop hands routinely get promoted within the company, become full time guides, and make connections with clients that will further their career ambitions.
This position, while as important as any at the lodge, is not a glory position. It does allow individuals to learn about all phases of the lodge and its operations; you will be a “jack of all trades” throughout the season. Applicants can find themselves working in our retail store, assisting housekeeping, maintaining the grounds and assisting with events such as wedding, group functions and daily restaurant operations while working hand in hand with our seasoned employees who are more than willing to show you the “ropes” of our operation.

Because of our remote location, it is very difficult to replace any of our crew. We expect a commitment from our staff to stay the entire season. It is important that our applicants understand the operation and what responsibilities will be required of them.
negotiable depending on the applicants skills, and be rewarded with pay increases based on performance. Some aspects of the position will provide the opportunity for additional tipped wages.
due to our location, commuting from work can be a problem, employee housing can be provided if needed, please make us aware of your needs during the application process.
DATES OF EMPLOYMENT:
This positions can be either full or part time, full time applicants must be available for the entire season from approximately mid-April through October. Actual dates will be determined during interview.
Scheduling will be posted on a weekly basis and will be based on the needs of the operation. Shifts can include Morning, Afternoon & Evening Hours. Applicants must be willing to work overtime if necessary.

Assisting guests with finding suitable equipment for rent/purchase, providing current and accurate fishing conditions based on your experience on the water and guest reports. Answering phones, taking reservations, assisting management with daily operational assistance and much more. A deep knowledge of our product line is required, you will have the ability to learn all of this prior to your first day of employment.
Includes mowing lawns, cutting and chopping firewood, weed whacking, painting, assisting maintenance supervisor with repairs to insure the daily operations and needs of the lodge are met.
possibly assisting with breakfast service, set up and tear down for parties and functions, assisting with food preparations when needed, assisting restaurant manager with any additional daily needs.
