Alaska’s Bearclaw Lodge: Guide Positions Available


Alaska’s Bearclaw Lodge, located on Aleknagik Lake in the Bristol Bay Region of Alaska, is searching for experienced Fishing Guides for the 2019 season. We operate a 3 month season, beginning in June and ending the first week of September. Compensation based on experience level.


U.S.C.G captain’s license or in the process of getting.

Proficiency in all aspects of fly fishing , including equipment, techniques, and its instruction.

Jet boat, Rowing experience.

Ability to live & work in close quarters with both staff & clients.

Basic first aid and CPR required (Red Cross / American Heart Association).

Guides are responsible for general lodge & vessel upkeep, start-up & shut-down of the lodge & other various tasks throughout the season.

Must be a strong team player, show initiative, be self-motivated & work well with others.

Alaska experience preferred but not necessary if other criteria met.
