The Fly Fisher’s Place in Sisters, Oregon is seeking a qualified guide and/or bag boat-camp chef professional.

Applicants must be great at handling up to class IV rapids with a loaded boat and have overnight river camping experience. Applicant needs to be willing to share the work load with the rest of the guide team to provide our guests the greatest experience on the water and in camp.

Our guide service is busy and growing. We’ve been in business since 1986 and under continuous ownership by Jeff Perin since 1991.

Fly Fisher’s Place guides work mostly day trips, combined with several multi-day camp trips on the Lower Deschutes throughout the season. Most of our multi-day trips occur during May to Mid June. We are actively working to increase our multi-day trips through trade shows and advertising. Be a part of this growth opportunity.

Applicant may only need to commit to April 22 to June 15th, or all season through October 31. Meaning, if you’re between coming home from Chile before going to Alaska for the summer this schedule might be perfect for you.
Depending on experience, some fly shop work may also be possible as well as teaching.

We offer very competitive of not simply the best wage paid to our guides in the area.
We are permitted to guide the Deschutes River, McKenzie, Santiam, Fall River, Crooked River, Cascade Lakes and Newbury Crater National Monument Lakes. It is truly an exciting array of waters for multiple species and exceptional opportunities for a long season.
