Fly Fishing Guide

Position Type: 2020 Season Wade and Drift Boat Guide

Profile: We are looking for float and wade guides capable of running half and full day guided fly fishing trips from both the shore and from drift boats. We have opportunities throughout the entire season, not just the peak months. Temporary house can be discussed.

Region: We offer guided trips to our customers on a wade or float basis on the East, West and Mainstem of the Delaware. We also expect our guides too be capable of managing wade trips on the Beaverkill and Willowemoc as well as all the relevant feeder creeks. Smallmouth Bass float trips on the Delaware River and wade trips on the Neversink, Esopus and Schoarie Rivers are options, but we do not expect everyone to be able to properly preform in that capacity.

Responsibilities: All of our guides must carry liability insurance, maintain a clean drift boat (if applicable), dress and act properly upon meeting customers, and maintain a clear line of communication with the shop staff. Additional fly shop hours can be discussed if the proper skill sets are demonstrated.

Requirements: Positive & professional attitude, personal fly fishing experience, some guiding experience, and good communication skills. Guides are ambassadors of our shop, and our brand’s reputation, and are therefore expected to maintain certain standards and act accordingly while representing the business.
