Glacier Raft has been family owned and operated for 40 years and is considered Montana’s longest running river outfitter. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Navigate paddle and oar rafts down class I – III rivers with an emphasis on safety, customer service and excellent risk management in a remote setting
  • Provide guests with a safe and top-tier outdoor river experience
  • Provide educational and interpretative information about Glacier National Park, Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex, Wild and Scenic Rivers Act and Three Forks of the Flathead River
  • Be a steward of the natural environment and rivers
  • Be able to work with individuals of all ages and backgrounds
  • Act as a role model for children and provide kid friendly content
  • Pack and prepare food and meals in a river setting
  • Care for company equipment
  • Safely drive company vehicles
  • Professionally represent Glacier Raft Company at work as well as in the community

Qualifications

  • Candidate must be legally allowed to work in the United States
  • Candidate must be 18 years of age or older
  • Candidate must be CPR, First-Aid and AED certified (We will train and certify all new incoming guides); WFR, EMT and WFA are preferred, but not required
  • Candidate must be Swift Water Rescue certified (We offer our guide school to train and certify all new incoming guides without it) *Guide school cost is $350*
  • Candidate must have customer service experience
  • Candidate must be capable of working long hours
  • Candidate must be physically fit and be able to lift heavy objects over uneven terrain
  • Candidate must be a team oriented person
  • Candidate must have excellent communication skills
