Float Fishing Guide Positions
RIGS is looking for Experienced Whitewater Float Fishing Guides for the 2021 Season.
Join our team of experienced professional whitewater float fishing guides. Excellent pay, seasonal housing available, and amazing fishing opportunities on five regional trout streams – plus many more with 1.5 hours.
The Uncompahgre (Paco-headwaters-inner city), San Miguel, Three Forks of the Cimarron, Big Cimarron, Lower Gunnison, and the Gunnison Gorge (known as one of the top wilderness float fishing sections in North America.)
While all our guides do a variety of walk wade and float fishing, we are currently looking to add several experienced whitewater guides that know fly fishing to work in the remote backcountry setting of the Gunnison River – with technical whitewater demand, a high level of competency in multidisciplinary fields, including professional whitewater guide, professional fly fishing guide, backcountry wilderness overnight guide, leadership, and interpersonal skills are essential to join the team.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Preexisting Trip Leader (TL) or Guide Instructor (GI) experience in the State of Colorado
Certified in Swiftwater Rescue Training (SRT)
Prior experience guiding commercially on Class III-IV whitewater
Float fishing abilities on challenging technical waters in inflatable rafts is a mandatory skill
Excellent pay for experienced guides and seasonal housing available.
