We would like to hire a fly fisher with a desire to leverage their fishing knowledge to manage and grow an ecommerce engine that is taking off. Utilizing your skills and organizational ability to build upon a strong online business, you will oversee the operation of our Online Fly Shop and help set the stage for future growth.
You are a multi-talented individual that doesn’t want to be placed in a silo. While you understand fly fishing, more importantly, you are interested in social media, content creation, marketing and how to leverage these tools to build a business. You pride yourself on quality.
You are comfortable in a digital environment and relish the ability to learn the entire product lifecycle from creation to marketing of the product online.
You do not need to be an expert fly fisher to apply. You are interested in digital commerce and how to develop an online brand. You have administrative skills and lead by example. Knowledge of fly fishing is extremely helpful so that you understand the difference between a leader and tippet but expert ability is not required. Please don’t send us pictures of you fishing!
Manage employees and scheduling.
Manage purchasing and receiving.
Quality Control Inventory when checking in inventory.
Ensure appropriate inventory at Ebay and Amazon, identify other online market opportunities and initiate appropriate relationships.
Work with outsourced marketing firm to execute on marketing strategy including email campaigns, Google Analytics
Create high quality content blogs for website through authorship or management of writers.
Post relevant information to social media (hatches, fishing reports, customer follow ups, customer catches..).
Update e-commerce site and Amazon with inventory changes.
Update e-commerce shopping cart, POS and other content creation software.
Experience with e-commerce sales.
Previous management experience.
Good communication skills. (verbal and written)
Tech Savvy including skills with POS, e-commerce, internet security, Photoshop, video editing.
Experience fly fishing and fly tying.
Excellent customer relation and satisfaction skills.
Comfortable with multiple tasks from filling orders to developing a marketing strategy.
Hours are somewhat flexible. This job can be full or part time.
